Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program educates people about disaster preparedness and provides basic disaster response training. CERT training covers a range of essential skills including:
- Disaster Psychology
- Basic Fire Suppression
- Elementary Disaster Medical Operations
- Light Search and Rescue
CERT is a positive and realistic approach to empowering citizens to be ready for emergency situations. This all-risk, all-hazard training helps individuals protect themselves, their families, their neighbors, and their communities.

CERT Certification
In 2021, we introduced a new way to become CERT Certified online, with a hands-on course to follow the online training. This initiative enhances the abilities of our community volunteers to respond effectively in case of a disaster. The training equips you not only to help your community but also to provide critical assistance to your family and neighborhood in the event of an emergency.
These classes are free! After registering with us, you will receive a link to sign up for the 12-hour online classes. Once the online portion is completed, there will be 16 hours of hands-on training.
