Powers and Duties

The McKenzie County Housing Authority was created to help take on the demands of the growing community and the need for housing, specifically county employee and other essential service worker housing. The duties of the McKenzie County Housing Authority are outlined in ND Century Code.

Board members are appointed for designated terms by the County Commission and one commissioner is selected to be on the Board. The Board is primarily responsible for Hillside Court in Watford City and other housing needs in McKenzie County.

The Board meets on the second Wednesday of each month in the County Commissioners meeting room at the McKenzie County Courthouse.
