McKenzie County voters have several ways to cast their ballots in the North Dakota General Election on November 5. To vote, you must be at least 18, a U.S. citizen and a resident of your precinct for at least 30 days. North Dakota doesn’t require voter registration, but you’ll need a valid ID. The only acceptable forms of ID are a ND driver’s license, a ND non-driver ID, long-term care certification from a ND facility, or Tribal ID.
Here are the ways to vote:
1. Absentee Voting: Visit the McKenzie County Courthouse at 201 5th St NW in Watford City to apply for and receive an absentee ballot. You can complete your ballot on-site and submit it. This option is available until 5 p.m. on November 4.
2. In-Person Voting: On Election Day, November 5, polls will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. CT at the following locations:
• Watford City Civic Center – 213 2nd St NE, Watford City
• Mandaree Community Center – 212 Ridge Road, Mandaree
• Cartwright Hall – 213 Main St, Cartwright
