School Elections
Regulations
In accordance with North Dakota Century Code (NDSCC) 15.1-09-22 the board of a school district shall hold an election between April 1 and June 30 to fill all vacancies. The purpose of the election shall be to:
- Elect members to fill all vacancies therein caused by the expiration of terms of offices or otherwise
- Determine in accordance with NDSCC the question of whether a record of the proceedings of the school board shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in such district for the next two years
- Determine other special question properly advertised as a special election (responsibility of local district) to be held in conjunction with the annual election.
Samples
In accordance with NDSCC 15.1-09-08 the candidates filing statement must be filed with the business manager or in possession of the business manager by 4 p.m. of the 60th day before the election.
