Items for Checkout
The checkout period for items borrowed from the McKenzie County Public Library is two weeks, with two renewals available. Materials available for checkout include, but are not limited to:
- Books - a wide variety of subjects for all reading levels
- Media - Films and audiobooks
Request for Purchase and Interlibrary Loan
Request for Purchase
The McKenzie County Public Library strives to maintain a diverse collection of materials. If the Library does not have an item in its collection, patrons can recommend it for purchase by filling out a brief form at the Circulation Desk. Please note that filling out a Recommendation for Purchase Form does not guarantee that the item will be added to the collection.
Interlibrary Loan:
If a patron prefers not to recommend the item for purchase or if the item is not available for purchase, it can be requested via Interlibrary Loan. Interlibrary Loan is a mutual agreement among libraries in North Dakota and throughout the United States to share resources. Through this service, the McKenzie County Public Library can borrow materials from other libraries that are not in its collection, enhancing the Library's ability to provide patrons with desired items.

- Fax cover pages are provided at no charge
