National, state, county and city government elections are run by the McKenzie County Auditor’s Office. Find election information by visiting the Elections webpage or the ND Secretary of State’s website.

Where can I get an absentee ballot?

Absentee ballots are obtained upon application to the County Auditor/Treasurer’s Office and must be returned to that office no later than 5 PM the day before the election if delivered in person, or must be postmarked the day before the election if mailed. Where can I find maps of McKenzie County?

The McKenzie County GIS Department creates and manages geospatial data and maps for the county. Online maps can be accessed or downloaded on the GIS Department webpage by clicking here.

What are the hours of operation for the county offices?

McKenzie County offices are open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Central Time. Closures due to holidays or severe weather will be posted in advance. The Motor Vehicle Branch office hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday-Friday.
